About Autumn
Hello! Thank you for joining this journey with me.I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience, a Jewitchy transgender woman, and a passionate advocate for the power of stories. As a narrative therapist, I believe in the transformative potential of our stories, and I'm eager to share some of mine with you.The Pacific Northwest, my lifelong home, has deeply influenced who I am. Its natural beauty, vibrant communities, and the dreams of my parents and ancestors have all shaped my identity.I was born in Portland, grew up in Central Washington, then moved to Spokane for my MSW program at Eastern Washington University. After earning my graduate degree, I moved to Seattle to experience all the big city has to offer. My hobbies include photography, tabletop gaming (co-op board games are the best), music, and fun podcasts. I also enjoy learning as much as I can about those who share this land and improving our communities through community care and activism. And, of course, storytelling. In my professional past, I've worked as a grantwriter for Spokane's Peace and Justice Action League, a community organizer, and then worked for several years in Washington's Child Protection system. I then returned to my roots in community work by working at Seattle's Downtown Emergency Service Center, working to help Seattle's most vulnerable residents find housing and access to needed mental health services. In addition to my private practice, I currently supervise the 988 Suicide Prevention and Crisis Lifeline.I have outlined my therapeutic practices and background in further detail here, but as a therapist, I seek to understand your story -- especially the traumatic and confusing parts -- and then help you author your next chapters.I hope this insight into my story has helped you understand how I can help with your therapeutic journey. I offer a free 15-minute consultation call to all new clients. Please feel free to reach out, and we can find some time to chat about where you would like your story to go next.
